A recent graduate of Billy Blue College of Design with a Bachelor of Interior Design (Residential) provides Kayla Pedrazzoli, an enthusiastic designer with the skills and knowledge to innovate, design and create spaces suited to the client’s wants/needs.
Currently based in Sydney, Australia I have been fortunate to have experienced many different career paths that have allowed me to become a self-motivated, hard-working individual, who can work both independently and effectively within a team environment.
I find that design comes from years of cultural notions, beliefs, and experiences that allow us to explore and develop new ways of enhancing the same concept. I, for one, love my Italian culture, it is an expression of who we are, and what we can bring. It is through understanding the use of colours, patterns, arts and buildings that have inspired me to use cultural components as a flare of interest for clients.
As the industry grows so do I. I’m excited to venture into this path and apply my skills in a way that will put more than just a smile on people's faces. I look forward to the exciting challenges that lie ahead in creating a space with elegance, style, and culture.
Penthouse
A penthouse unlike no other shapes around obscure corners and plays a modern twist on a New-York style, sleek open floorplan. Its use of contrasting tones, warmth, and comfort is centred upon its use of natural lighting and centered upon the highlight of the premise through the staircase, drawing its use of contrast tones, and contemporary design.
In defining the sleek, New York apartment-style, aesthetic and functional elements centered upon the premise. Taking an upbeat design twist, the kitchen was defined through the use of sage cabinetry, a marble benchtop, and an open butler kitchen with black French doors to separate the two public realms but also connect with New York chic. The warmth of the living room draws from the darker tones, and fireplace to create a family orientated space.
Edgecliff
The design of this premise takes place in Edgecliff's newly designed building replacing the old Edgecliff center. The design features four quadrants broken into 5 serviced back-to-back apartments, to create a luxurious apartment for residences. Inspired by ‘Palm Springs’ bright and vibrant tones, it creates an open yet exciting floorplan that brings colour, structure and patterns into the premise.
The design was kept simple, yet drew upon its natural structure to define the spatial aspects. Connecting the two back-to-back apartments saw space open its surrounding by creating a second public realm. Introducing the mauve tones of the v groove panelling along the hallway, contrasting with the herringbone sliding door took the apartment to new levels not only from the space opening but the view of the apartment.
