I have an innate passion for interior architecture and design, specialising in residential design. I am particularly interested in considered spatial planning and conceptual design and documentation, using Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp.
Whilst on maternity leave, I have been completing a Bachelor of Interior Design (Residential) at Billy Blue College of Design, as well as undertaking a number of my own design projects. My studies and my private work both support my career choice in returning to the workforce by working in an architectural or interior design firm.
I have strong project management and contract management skills, as I have demonstrated within the roles I have held as Project Coordinator, Contract Coordinator and as Senior Contracts and Procurement Officer.
The Docks
Project: Multi-residential unit design and marketing prospectus.

Client 1 is an overseas developer:
Design a unique floor plate with a cultural influence into the development that is vernacular, contextual and individual.
Client 2 is a buyer of one of the units - husband, wife and child.
The Docks units pay homage to the area’s rich shipping and industrial history. The materials used within The Docks units are heavily influenced by the heritage-listed site of Mort Bay. In particular the use of rusted metal feature walls throughout are a nod to Balmain's maritime past. Smoke-tinted timber flooring has been used to soften the feel within the space, and floor-to-ceiling windows provide an abundance of natural light.
Carefully considered spatial planning has been used in the floor plate design to maximise the number of units without compromising the comfort within each of the residences. This has been achieved by creating open plan living areas that seamlessly flow out to their spacious outdoor areas.

Wilcox Mofflin Building

Mountain Street, Ultimo NSW 2019
The apartment is occupied by a couple with no children.
The brief:
• Provide the client with the most useable space possible for such a small footprint
• Retain existing brickwork, windows, columns and exposed ceiling
• Open and spacious
• Reflect the industrial nature of the building and an urban atmosphere
• Emphasis on bold colours, recycled and raw materials to complement the client’s existing eclectic furniture and artworks
The Wilcox Mofflin building is a historical five-storey building that has been transformed into a multi-residential development.
A mural by Anya Brock has been painted on the wall of the main entry which sets the urban tone of the apartment, and reflects the client’s love of graffiti art. The artist’s spirited and bold use of colour is in harmony with the client’s existing eclectic furniture, creating a distinctive visual language.
The custom-designed staircase features metal and recycled timber, which echo the industrial loft feel, whilst not losing sight of its function. The open treads allow maximum light into the floor above.
