I am looking for an internship I am looking for work

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic Interior Designer, with a Bachelor of Interior Design (Commercial) from Billy Blue College of Design at Torrens University Australia. Through my studies I now see design as not only a way to make our environments more aesthetically pleasing, but also as a tool to enhance the functionality of the world we live in.

I am a resourceful, hardworking person with a positive disposition and good initiative, constantly inspired by the world around me. My previous industry-related work experience helped me gain excellent skills in project managing, documentation and scheduling of a project. My passion for interior design, my years of study achieving a high standard of work really encouraged me to choose this industry as a career and this is a profession which I really want to be in.

I believe spatial design is more about creating an environment which has a strong bond with human nature whilst embracing sustainability. I hope to keep learning, applying my skills and capabilities, and contributing as much as I can to the design industry.

Kathmandu Retail Shop

Location: Castle Tower Shopping Centre, Castle Hill
Software Used: Revit, Photoshop, InDesign

Client Brief
-Rearrange the shop’s layout and spatial planning
-Stronger brand concept
-New display system, shop front entry and POS counter
-Create an experiential space which communicates the brand to the customer

Concept and features
The initial idea for Kathmandu's outdoor activities retail shop was to build a connection between the brand and its customers through raw, vivid, authentic and dynamic elements plus eye-catching display stand shapes which will create a unique experience.
The shop front was inspired by a mountain's shape. Newly designed S-shaped display units echo the idiosyncratic nature of a walking track. The shop front becomes visually engaging through the sustainable plywood, and the zigzag-shaped path which evokes the feeling of a canyon walk. The reclaimed timber POS counter with minimal finishing represents the rustic, raw nature of a timber forest. Steel-pipe clothes racks, terrazzo flooring, a fabric ceiling and earth-toned wall finishes culminate in the creation of an indoor ‘outdoor adventure' within the interior.
