Having recently graduated from Billy Blue College of Design at Torrens University Australia with a Bachelor of Interior Design (Residential), I see design as not only a way to make our environments more aesthetically pleasing, but also as a tool to enhance the functionality of the world we live in.
I am a dedicated, hardworking person with a positive disposition, constantly inspired by the world around me. Producing consistently high, professional standards of work is important to me as I have a strong work ethic.
I am excited to be able to venture into the design industry to create spaces that make people feel protected, lively and enriched. I hope to keep learning, applying my skills and capabilities and contributing as much as I can to the design industry.
Sydney Harbour Apartment
The design of this two-storey apartment required a sophisticated, comfortable, modern and unadorned space which maximised the light and panoramic views of Sydney Harbour. This residential apartment is designed with a contemporary theme, keeping the palette restrained to allow for maximum focus on the beautiful view of the city skyline.
Timber, concrete and marble are the main materials used in the interior and are consistent throughout the design. Timber wall panels are used throughout, adding texture and pattern to the space and also provide a warming contrast against the cool tones of the concrete and marble. The bare concrete wall panels highlight the unashamedly luxurious and opulent black marble staircase. Large mirrors on the walls open and brighten up the space.
The meticulous spatial planning ensures that each room is well-matched to the client’s needs and activities, and takes full advantage of the view. The high ceilings and large windows add a touch of luxury and grandness, allowing ease of movement from one space to another. The interior is highly detailed and all furniture and finishes are chosen without any compromise on quality.
The Social Hub
The Social Hub is located on the 28th floor of the luxury serviced apartment building. The whole floor is designed in a contemporary style with consistent use of timber, marble and gold which add a sense of luxury to each space.
The pool, bar and fitness centre have large windows and a ceiling height of 6.6m which adds a sense of spaciousness. Unashamedly luxurious and opulent, a spectacular light installation in the bar consists of undulating lights that appear as waves creating an en masse effect. One of the focal points of the bar area is the large bar with hanging glasses, lowering the ceiling and creating a more private and intimate space. Glass chandeliers that hang over the bar add an elegant feature to the space. The bar area is connected to the pool area by gold partition walls that allow easy access between these two spaces.
The Swimming pool and fitness centre have been designed to be very sophisticated as well as relaxing by keeping materiality luxurious but harmonious. The walnut panelling on the walls in combination with marble and gold are used consistently in the lighting, furniture and joinery. Customised joinery, feature lighting and sharp detailing throughout provide a sense of indulgence and comfort, while floor-to-ceiling windows connect occupants to spectacular views over the infinity pool and surrounding area.
