Coffee Table Design
This project was given to me to design a contemporary coffee table. After going through the extensive design process starting from the brainstorming, mind mapping, I finally came up with the mood board and concept sketch. The mood of the design was hybrid furniture: the combination of different materials including high gloss laminate, chrome steel, and Tera silkwood. I also produced technical drawings including floor plans and elevations and came up with a sketch up model to demonstrate its 3D visualisation.
I was awarded with the highest distinction for this design project to acknowledge my ability to demonstrate the concept effectively with step-by-step design process, the level of accuracy in my technical drawing and highly effective 3D model design for the client brief.
Surface Pattern Design
In this design project, I demonstrate my creative and technical skills to achieve the highest level of design concept. I went through a series of design processes starting from the concept ideation, colour schemes boards in Adobe InDesign, then produced surface pattern design for soft furnishings, and finally represented it in rug and cushions in my 3D rendered image.
